HOG Chapter Ride - Ernie R. Farewell

Chapter Members--let's honor Ernie!  We lost him to cancer this past Tuesday evening...his fond memories will carry-on!  

Ernie was a great friend, great rider, and strong supporter and ambassador to our HOG Chapter 4052.  

If you wish to attend his service and ride in the procession from the funeral chapel to the cemetery, please see details below. 

Please plan to attend/participate as we honor our friend with a final farewell.

HOG Member Riders--Please plan to meet-up with Shawn B. at RHD at 11:00am tomorrow (11/28/2023) for a ride in together to the funeral home.  KSU will be @ 11:30am.  No need to RSVP...just show to RHD and we'll roll together to honor our friend Ernie!

Also:  Dress for the event is your routine ride gear and HOG Chapter vest per the family wishes...besides, Ernie wouldn't have wanted it any other way!  Note:  This dress info applies if serving as Pall Bearers & Honorary Pall Bearers.

Time:  Visitation: 12pm to 1pm / Service:  1pm

Burial:  Roselawn Cemetery (741 Danville Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601)

Riders:  Please plan to meet/stage by 12:15pm.  Shawn B. will conduct a short pre-brief on the procession @ 12:30pm. 

IMPORTANT:  If you plan to ride your bike in the procession to the cemetery, please RSVP for bike count numbers.

Open Event: This event is open to Chapter members, National H.O.G. members and other guests as desired.  All riders and passengers must sign a release. 

Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends, and the individual HOG member.  Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior.  Redstone Chapter #4052 requests you “think before you drink” with the above in mind and refrain from consuming any number of impairment drinks that total more than the number of wheels you are on.  Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride.

Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring Redstone Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
