As we start this year with a new LOH officer, we must think about what we want to do and accomplish for LOH. I am relying on EACH of you to give me direction, suggestions, and assistance in making our time together this year the most fun and satisfying that we can.
We will start off with a planning day where we will also get to make new friends and get reacquainted with past members. I purposefully didn't plan for us to have snacks/foods for this meeting because I want to keep it uncomplicated and to stay focused on setting the direction of the group. We will surely have one (or maybe more) of those "meetings" that has us eating wonderful goodies that others have made to share.
Several years ago we had a strong and thriving LOH and those of us who were a part of that yearn to have that again...to have that comradery that we all felt. It will be something that we have to build again, and it may take a while, but we CAN have that again.
Keeping in mind that the definition of the "job" 'Ladies of Harley Officer' is someone who promotes riding and fellowship, I will be striving to always have that as part of our activities.
I would like to see our "passenger riders" (or as I call them "ride-alongs") have a more active part of the riding experience. (I have some really good plans for this.) I hope the ones who have not been going along for the ride (lol), due to health issues, fears, or whatever, will be more active this year and be able to go have a meal, see the sights , and be a part of the rides. I HAVE A PLAN.
If you cannot make the planning day, or anytime after that, and you have an idea/want to make a suggestion, send me a PM on Facebook (Carol Chapman Boardman/Lucy) or you can email me at ThePenUpGirl@aol.com. I don't live online so don't expect a fast response.
Let's vow to have more fun than we can stand this year!
