HOG Chapter Long Run - Helen, GA

HOG Chapter 4052 Members!!

This is our Chapter Long Run Ride!  We're headed to the Helen, GA area from September 25-29.

**9/19/2023 UPDATE**

Riders...big change here.  We're bumping up the gameplan...with the hour time change...and the casual journey involved...we're staging @ 7:30am with KSU @ 8am!

The route will be towards Scottsboro, up to Mentone, across into Georgia and down to Cartersville.  We'll hit the Southern Devil H-D and then grab lunch.  Afterwards, we'll head up towards Waleska and stop into a DQ (yep, ice cream break).  We'll then finalize our trip into Helen from there.

We'll take 5 breaks enroute--no leg is longer than 1 hr 15.  In fact, Leg 1: 1 hr 15 min; Leg 2: 1 hr 10 min; Leg 3: 6 min; Leg 4: 1 hr 8 min; Leg 5: 54 min.  

All members RSVP'd will receive a message with more details!  Let's ride!!

**9/13/23 UPDATE**

We have released the blocked rooms.  However, you can still roll with us...you'll just have to secure you're own room in the area...please consider doing so!

We have a planned route to head that way...more to follow on that (thanks Rich H.). 

Here's what you need to know for now...please plan to meet/stage at the MAPCO at Moores Mill Rd (1582 US-72 E, Huntsville, AL 35811) @ 8:30am.  We'll go KSU @ 9am and begin our journey to Helen, GA.

Please top-off your tank upon arrival to the MAPCO :-).

**8/4/23 UPDATE**

We have 8 rooms blocked.  We have 5 available--3 single bed & 2 double bed rooms.  Please contact Head Road Captain, Nate C. for more information on the available rooms. 

We have 8 members plugged in to go.

Of course, feel free to go out and book on your own.

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.

Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends, and the individual HOG member.  Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior.  Redstone Chapter #4052 requests you “think before you drink” with the above in mind and refrain from consuming any number of impairment drinks that total more than the number of wheels you are on.  Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride.

Photography Policy: Photographing, filming, recording and videotaping of activities and events will be occurring Redstone Chapter events. By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
